Poker Nordica was launched in Febuary of 2007 on the Merge gaming network by a Danish company called Casinokontanter. Although they are very new they are already showing real money player statistics of 3,000 ring game and 5,500 tournament players  at peak hours as of October 2009.

Poker Nordica offers every variation and stake of poker including Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo in all versions, Razz, 2-7 lowball, A-5 lowball, Five Card Draw, Five Card Stud, Badugi, H.O.R.S.E. and other mixed games. The limits offered are $.50-1.00 up to $50-100 for Limit Hold'em, $.10-.25 up to $10-20 for No Limit Hold'em, $1+.10 up to $5000+100 for Sit n Go tournaments and $1+.10 up to $500+30 for Multi-table tournaments. Being on the Merge network competition is a little tough but being closely tied to the casino side of the site that they do recruit players from your bound to run into alot of newbies as well.

Poker Nordica is lacking a bit in the promotion department since they don't run any freerolls but they do have a frequent player program where you earn points on raked hands and tournament buy in fees which can be redeemed for merchandise and tournament buy ins. They also run a $10,000 VIPP race, raked hand race and a VIP race. The VIP points race runs monthly and the player with the most VIP points wins $2,500 and the remainder of the $10,000 is divided among the rest of the leader board. The other two promotions are the same idea but are held weekly and pay only $250. Poker Nordica also has a bad beat jack pot.

Poker Nordicas software is very sleek and fast offering great playability. Some of the special features that the software includes are a rabbit cam, the ability to show one card when folding or winning a hand without showdown, and the option to run out the board twice on some tables.

Overall Poker Nordica is a good place to play and offers some good promotions but the sign up bonus is rather small and they don't run any freerolls.
